Oh, this time of the year...

"You know I could probably say the same to you too." Marietta relied innocently. Because it was true, if Averie wanted this friendship so badly, why didn't she do something about it? She was being so bipolar about the whole situation as it was. It's was getting riddiculus.

Averie frowned at Marietta, "Maybe you're right Marietta," Averie snarled, her hair turning black and curling up at the ends. If anything, her looks were very expressive. If Marietta didn't understand that Averie was extremely unforgiving, then Marietta was screwed.

Standing up, Averie stuffed her hands in her pockets. "You should've been a Slytherin. No one this unloyal should be a Hufflepuff." Averie wiggled her fingers at Cade and walked off, lighting a cigarette as she walked out of the pub.

Marietta finally realized how much she had pushed Averie. It was the night of the fight all over again. Exept, it was a worse feeling. Th low, slowly sinking in kind of feeling. The feeling that Marietta hated feeling like with all of her heart and soul.

Marietta was fighting tears back at Averies next comment. She lost it completely as she saw her old best friend walk away. "Wait! Evie!" Marietta croaked, quickly standing up to run after her. She looked at Cade, and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. "I'll be back!" Marietta promised over her shoulder. She had to go back to get her stuff anyways.

Marietta stumbled out into the cold. It had started snowing, and she had forgotten her jacket in the warm bar. "I hope this is worth it." she snarled under her breath.

Setting the cigarette on her lips, Averie took a long drag. Looking up and down Diagon Alley, Averie sighed. It was snowing and people were walking about with happy smiles on their faces. Averie's hair was still black, as were her eyes. She couldn't bring herself to calm down and all she wanted to do was punch something or, preferably, someone.

Hearing her nickname being called, Averie turned around to see a jacketless Marietta standing there in the cold. "Are you asking to catch a cold?" Averie wondered, raising an eyebrow at the girl. "What do you want?"

Marietta sprinted to Averie, hoping to catch her before Averie left. Luckily, she noticed Averie turn around. Panting and gasping for air, she tried to reply. "I dont care if I get sick." she said between gulps of air. "I miss you." She stated simply. "We need to be friends again. It's riddiculus that we are still upset with each other. It happened, the fight. Alright? It should be in the past." Marietta held her breath and closed her eyes, scared of even thinking of Averies reaction.

Marietta shivered as the snow got heavier and the wind picked up.

Averie stared at Marietta for a moment before opening her arms, "C'mon bitch. Don't a stranger. Hug it out." Averie said, smiling at her best friend. Averie's hair lightened to a golden blonde with purple tips and her eyes were a warm green. She missed her best friend and was sad when they got into a fight.

Pulling Marietta back into the warmth of the pub, Averie went to the table where Cade still sat. "We're fine now. You can breathe again."

Marietta smiled widely, and wrapped her arms around her best friend. "Thanks whore." She said happily. She noticed that her hair changed, and so did her eyes. That must be a good sign.

Marietta, when they reached the pub, sat across from Cade. She shot him a small smile, not sure how he would be reacting right now. She had kissed him, after all.

Cade watched the two girls in poorly hidden fright. He just looked at Averie when she got up and left. He never knew that his one comment would cause so much drama. And, then when Marietta got up, Cade smiled at her. And then she kissed him. Which made him that happiest man on the planet.

He sat there in happy silence until Marietta and Averie got back. He was happy that they were friends again. "Well, now that you two are good. Marietta, question." Cade blushed and smiled, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Marietta blushed. She couldn't help it. She looked at Averie, who was nodding like a madwoman. "Of course." Marietta blushed harder as she answered. She didn't mind though, she was happy. Averie let out a cheer, which made Marietta blush harder, if that was possible, and she started laughing. This shitty day had turned out pretty good at the end.
